MLL has extensive experience with the full range of responsibilities associated with operation and maintenance of ocean going vessels and has provided those services to the U. S. Government since 1983. The experience gained and expertise developed through numerous contracts for ship operation and management services qualify us to provide those services in 9 of the 22 functional areas listed in the Statement of Work (SOW).
MLL has operated and continues to operate many of the Military Sealift Command’s vessels. This requires that we maintain all technical documentation including configuration management, all drawings and technical manuals, onboard spares and store room inventories. For all of MLL’s vessels management contracts, responsibility includes applying engineering and analytical decision making to ensure that the ships and all ships systems are operated and maintained in a manner that maximizes ship availability. All of MLL’s Port Engineers and ship operating crews practice sound Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A) principles throughout the lifecycle and all maintenance plans and maintenance decisions are based on sound engineering and thorough understanding of what is required to keep ships at sea.MLL has worked extensively, as both a prime and as a subcontractor, on many different maritime contracts. As the prime for TEAM MLL, MLL looks forward to managing a successful team in carrying out the SeaPort-e Task Orders of the future.
